Sorry about the unpopularity of this headcanon, but I gotta say it.
I honestly think that Worth is just Worth. He’s human. He might have had a sort of weird past, but nothing too odd. He’s just the gross asshole Tessa made him out do be. He might try to hide his caring for Hanna’s well being, but that’s about it. Just a dirty old doctor in a dirty old office.

Worth is a real victim of alien abduction. But he won’t admit this to anyone, and struggles with the memories of it every night by drinking and distracting himself as much as possible with taking care of Hanna. But some days are worse than most, and Hanna is the only one who has a good idea about what Worth is hiding.

Worth’s sister lost a baby years ago, a still-born. It sent the family into a depression for the longest of time, and Worth took it the hardest after being forced to watch his sister go through that. She always used to talk about what her child would be like. So when Worth met Hanna, the kid reminded him of what could have been… but he will never admit to this.

There were other ways to create a vampire, aside from biting a human…according to some folklore, vampires could be made by: suicide, not giving the body a proper burial (which sometimes including precautions such as placing holy symbols on the body or severing the legs), not blessing the body before burial…

Cracktastic headcanon. Plus wings.
Think about it, in terms of other supernatural critters we’ve met, main character wise. Vampires, werewolves, zombies; generally thought of as scary, but so far not so much, really. Whereas, the vamp hunter, generally thought of as the “good guy”, totally scary. So, having an angel be skeezy-scary would totally fit in.

Mrs. Blaney does not have a tag. XD
Mrs. Blaney is related to Worth. Possibly an aunt. She let Hanna stay at a reduced rent when Worth brought him there looking for a place to live. She also helped Worth set himself up in that shabby office after he left Australia. They are very grudgingly grateful to her. VERY GRUDGINGLY.
